Another Happy Bride!

I received a very sweet note as well as a few more snap-shots from last week's bride, Cathy. During the planning process, I make a personal connection with my brides. Their flowers are very important. I am meticulous with choosing flowers, designing arrangments, and even setting up their special day. It is a great feeling to hear that my clients are happy and satisfied with their wedding flowers.

"Thanks Gillian, everything was gorgeous and we were thrilled when we got to the reception and saw it all come together. The wreath was incredible and I am SO glad you talked me into that. I still have 1 centerpiece , droopy, but I just love it! Everyone commented on the flowers and we got some incredible photos, I am sure. Here are just a few to start....hope to catch up more soon. Also, Vintner's liked you and I am talking with them to help pull together some preferred vendors since you were great to work with. Thanks again for all of your help and creativity and the champagne/basket, etc etc. Cathy and Pete"

A Napa Wedding for Cathy and Pete

Saturday, June 7 2008 I was honored to be part of the wedding of Cathy and Pete in Yountville, CA. Cathy and Pete are such a fun, and thoughtful, couple. They have been a pleasure to work with, and have impeccable taste for flowers!

I am eagerly awaiting the professional pictures, but here are a few that I snapped with my digital camera. It's obvious that my talent is in flowers rather than photography... So stay tuned for more photos!!

By Saturday morning the cooler was filled with punchy pink centerpeices!

Last minute touches include wrapping bouquets in satin ribbon and crystal embellishments.
Cathy's bouquet was Ivory, White and Light Pink Peonies with accents of Roses and Spray Roses. Tiny blush crystals we nestled into the blooms to finish off the dreamy gathering of blooms

The couples five flower girls were simply adorable. Each carried whimsical flower arrangments. The two oldest girls carried small bouquets of peonies and roses, the youngest carried a single peony, and the two middle girls boasted a favorite... carnation and spray rose pomander ball!

We also created a floral wreath of carnations, hydrangea, roses, and spray roses to adorn the front door to the Holy Family Church. After the ceremony, we re-purposed the wreath and created a unique escort table arrangment. Being that the wedding was in Wine Country, each name card was attached to a wine cork.

This is just a teaser... please check back soon for a more complete collection of photos!
