Mike was a childhood neighbor, so I was especially excited when his beautiful wife Wendy contacted me about their upcoming wedding reception.
The two were married in an intimate wedding in Maui last year, but wanted to celebrate their union with an outright BASH! Their ease and excitement was infectious, and the hawaiian party fit their laid back style to a T.
This reception was unforgetable! Setting up the flowers, we were surrounded by the sweet smell of tropical flowers and the familiar tunes of the band warming up. We all sang along with a smile on our face! It was quite the day!
Here are some of my favorite photos!
A ivory pillar candle was set in modern arrangement of dendrobium orchids. Placed on a graphic monastera leaf, these cocktail arrangements were a hit!
The tropical centerpieces reflected Wendy and Mike's easygoing and fun spirits. Flowers included some of my favorites: fragrant stargazer lilies, glossy alstromeria, delicate dendrobium orchids, and fun spider mums.
I noticed that Wendy's giftcard box needed some tropical flair. Loose flowers and greenery are a perfect solution to a bare box.
A hawaiian party wouldn't be complete without a surfboard. We anchored a floral adorned surfboard to the middle of the pool.
Congratulations Wendy and Mike!
